One beautiful Bride, one handsome Groom, two little people, 8 guests, one minister, one hair & make-up stylist, one chef, one photographer, one typical bloody hot Queensland summers day & a fancy shamancy bungalow on a Gold Coast canal… PERFECT.
And well this was how Sarah & Sam did it.
Make no mistake… Sarah & Sam’s small & intimate wedding was full of heart & big on love.
Sarah & Sam, their two beautiful wee little boys & very close family all made their way up from Victoria to the sunny Gold Coast to celebrate Sarah & Sam’s big love on the Wednesday 29th of February 2012. That’s pretty cool hey!
I usually like to meet my couples at least twice before the big day & also try to get to the location to do a bit of a photo location scout about too. This couldn’t happen. But what did happen, was when I met Sarah & Sam for the first time on this most remarkable occasion, it was as though we had met before… it was like that feeling you get when you catch up with an old friend. There is certainly something truly lovely & humbling about this kind of connection.
Well there are always lessons in life right. And in this very short time I spent with Sarah & Sam I learnt so much, or maybe it was I was reminded of so much – the importance of family, being true to yourself, to always wear your heart on your sleeve & that love, is a big deal.
Sarah & Sam, it was a truly remarkable day & such a honour to be chosen to capture this one incredible day in your journey of life together. I do hope we meet again.
