Moments That Matter | Sunshine Coast Lifestyle Photographer

As we were capturing these photos a man stood by watching & waiting for a little bit, ever so kindly waiting for me to get the shot, I thanked him & he walked on by, but as he did, he made a comment… he said, “Love feels good”.

Wow!

He is so right. Love does feel good.

And then it hit me, that a stranger walking by could see exactly what I was photographing.

I’ve photographed my baby sister & her kids before, but not like this, not a dedicated time with love, patience & purpose. And how proud & delighted I am that I now have…

How I capture my own family is how I always want to capture your family, with love, patience & purpose, because really it’s in these spaces that we find & focus on the real moments, that matter.

SHE LET GO ~ Safire Rose

She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go.

She let go of the fear.  She let go of the judgments.  She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head.  She let go of the committee of indecision within her.  She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons. Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go.

No one was around when it happened. There was no applause or congratulations. No one thanked her or praised her. No one noticed a thing. Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.

There was no effort. There was no struggle. It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad. It was what it was, and it is just that.

In the space of letting go, she let it all be. A small smile came over her face. A light breeze blew through her. And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.

Oh hey you’re still here! Thank you! All these frames were captured on Film (Photography), this is how I photograph my own family… why you ask? Because, well simply I love it…  It’s a little bit magic, it has a character that can’t be achieved with digital, it has soul & a nostalgic quality to it & well, of course… for the love of colour. How beautiful are those colours, right?! So I’m a little nervous saying this, but I’m making some changes with my future direction for my Family Lifestyle Photography to also include photographing on film. Yes, I said it! It’s real now 😉

So… Are you interested in a Family lifestyle Session with me? Please get in touch… I’m NOW taking bookings for 2017.

Head on over to the very talented Bec Stewart http://becstewart.com/blog/moments-that-matter-october-2016 to follow on in the blog circle of Moments That Matter.
