Two beautiful souls…

Oh, sometimes… I get a good feeling, oh yeah I get a good feeling…

Ok I can’t sing… but, this seems as good a place to start as any.

No this wasn’t ‘their song’, actually I don’t even think it was even on their play list. You know that euphoric first line, well every time I hear this intro it makes me think of Jo & Mal’s day.

Late last year I photographed Jo & Mal’s wedding.  This one was truly epic. The locations were epic, the ceremony was held at The Knoll on Mt Tamborine and the celebrations followed at The Wings, a mansion high on the Gold Coast Hinterland looking out over Surfers. The food, tapas & pillea… epic. Jo & Mal’s dearest’s… epic. And of course… Jo, Mal, Charlie & Alex (their two beautiful boys)… yep you got it epic.

And to be honest. I think I love Jo & Mal. Actually the first time I met Jo & Mal was when they came to interview me. I saw them once again before their wedding and then of course I spent the whole day with them on their wedding day. So yep love is a strong word (and no I’m not the obsessed stalker type). And who knows if I’ll see them again. But, I will tell you why this is so. I love their love for each other, I loved their calmness, I loved their openness, I love they way they love their two beautiful boys, their family & friends, I loved their generosity, I loved the way they wore their hearts so openly & honestly on their sleeves… and invited me & Heidi  (my partner in crime) to share in & be witness to, their experience of their wedding day. Seriously, so if I felt like this… imagine the way they made their guests feel.

So, Jo & Mal thank you for opening your hearts & choosing me to capture your momentuous day for you… Your wedding felt like one big group hug  & which, we were invited into. This one will last a lifetime for me guys.  Hell Yeah!
