It’s Friday… so here’s a little bit of Friday funtasticness to make you smile. You more than likely have seen  Ali & Karl‘s very lovely Rainbow Beach Wedding… Well, as the sun went down (along with a few drinks) everyone got a little crazy in the The PhotoBooth and ha ha (insert evil laugh) I have the evidence… and yep I have way more evidence, but given that these are professional people & probably want to hold onto their good jobs I’ll have to keep some of the craziness out of the public eye;-)

So Happy Friday… enjoy!

ali & karl | rainbow beach wedding

I have been fortunate enough to have done a fair bit of globetrotting in my life so far, yep I lived in a tent for 5 months of my life and have seen maybe a round-a-bouts 23 countries all up… so far. So… I think it’s fair to say, I have seen some amazingly beautiful places… but to be honest, there is always no place like home.

Early last year I met Ali & Karl who invited me to shoot their wedding at Rainbow Beach. And so I fell in love with Rainbow Beach. This place is quiet & humble, but is truly magical, and hands down one of the most beautiful places I have travelled to!

And yes, of course there was something truly magical about Ali & Karl’s wedding. How could there not be. There’s something about inviting those who are dearest to join you for a weekend of celebration of marriage & love to such magical place… it can only be. Amazing!

This was a happy wedding, not that I’ve ever been to a sad wedding, but Ali & Karl’s wedding day was filled with lightness & loads of laughter… Nothing too serious. Ali is a Teacher & Karl a Gourmet Chef. And so you’ll see nothing too serious. Here’s is the ceremony reading from Ali to Karl…

Yes, I’ll Marry You – Pam Ayres (adapted)

Yes, I’ll marry you, my dear, and here’s the reason why; So I can push you out of bed when the baby starts to cry, and if we hear a knocking and it’s creepy and it’s late, I hand you the torch you see, and you investigate.

Yes I’ll marry you, my dear, you may not apprehend it, but when the tumble-drier goes it’s you that has to mend it. You have to face the neighbour should our staffy-cross attack him, and if a drunkard fondles me it’s you that has to whack him.

Yes, I’ll marry you, you’re virile and you’re lean, our house is like a pigsty you can help to keep it clean. Those tasty little dinners which you serve without a fight, as I do all my schoolwork, you can cook them every night! It’s you who has to work the drill and put up curtain track, and when I am in a mood it’s you who gets the flak.

I do see great advantages, but none of them for you, and so before you see the light, I do,I do,I do!

Yep it’s well & truly  been sometime since my last blog post… So… here is Ali & Karl’s long overdue wedding post… it’s massive… seriously MASSIVE!!!

A few from 2011 | Happy Christmas & Cheers to 2012!

Wow what a year it has been for me. Looking back from where I have come, I actually never thought I would find myself here and I am certainly a long way from where I would like to be. And yes I have found out that this running your own business malarkey isn’t all rock n roll. But right now I do know, this is absolutely where I want to be.
I have met so many wonderful, generous, welcoming & kind people. Received much support from family & good friends. And have also been lucky enough to get a few kind & inspiring words from some complete strangers, obviously members from the RAOKWA – Random Act Of Kind Words Association… I have my suspicions it may or may not be secretly run by my mum. It means so very much to me. Thank you. You have all made me smile.
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas & an awesome 2012 to come… be safe, eat plenty & be very merry.
And well here are a few favourites from the awesome year that was 2011.
With love
Kelly
